Will is a native Nashvillian who married a native Nashvillian (an increasing rarity in our city!). He and Janice have been married almost 30 years. Will attended college in Nashville, earning his B.A. degree. He later earned his Master of Divinity degree. After more than 20 years in the corporate world, Will answered the call of full-time ministry. He has served Crievewood for almost 15 years.
Will's role is overseeing spiritual formation in the church and attending to the church's administrative needs. It is said ministry without administration is like a bouquet of flowers (just as cut flowers are pretty only for a short time, administration provides the roots for effective ministering).
There will be bluegrass in heaven!
Favorite Things to Eat:
His family is English/Scotch-Irish/German, but there's no better food than Italian. Veal tortellini fixed any way is awesome!
Dietrich Bonhoeffer's books reflect a remarkable commitment to Christian faith in a dark time. His challenge not to settle for "cheap grace" speaks to us today. N.T. Wright is a favorite contemporary author.
Favorite TV Shows:
Will and Janice recently discovered The Middle and have been catching up on past episodes. Last Man Standing has been their favorite TV show.
What else would you like people to know about you?
As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend. (Proverbs 27:17 NLT). Will considers this his life verse. Believers are called into relationship with each other. God expects us to grow in Him; we have the privilege of helping each other along the way.
